The Medina County Veterans Service Office has free tickets available for the November 11, Veterans Day Train Ride on the CVSRR, departing from Rockside station. These tickets were made available for Medina County Veterans (up to 4 tickets each) through CVSRR and presented by SummaCare.

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad will provide a complimentary train ride to veterans and their family members. The event is presented by SummaCare. CVSR invites veterans, active military, first responders and up to three family members to take a two hour complimentary train ride through Cuyahoga Valley National Park. CVSR invites passengers to a demonstration from the Color Guard prior to departure. We also invite the public to come out to show support for our veterans by waving as the train passes at Peninsula station, located at 1630 Mill Street, as the train passes.

Maximum of 4 or 6 (limited availability) tickets per veteran.
Due to CVSR’s physical distancing policies, tickets redeemed online must be reserved in groups of four. Six top tables are available in deluxe cars.

PLEASE NOTE: Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad excursions and all railroad facilities are operating with more stringent safety practices and procedures including more frequent sanitation, the wearing of masks, implementing physical distancing and operating trains at no more than 50% capacity to improve employee, volunteer and guest safety. IMPORTANT: Within the last 14 days, if you have experienced unusual occurrences of fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell or nausea; traveled internationally or to other areas of the U.S. that were under “Shelter In Place” orders; had contact with a person with a positive or presumed positive COVID-19 case, PLEASE PROTECT YOURSELF AND OTHERS BY CHOOSING TO NOT RIDE THE TRAIN AT THIS TIME. Passengers with mobility issues or anyone that that requires assistance when boarding must purchase their tickets over the phone by calling CVSR Customer Service at 330-439-5708

Anyone arriving on the day of their departure who has a confirmed temperature over 100.4°F or is displaying any symptom of COVID-19 (including fever, sore throat, runny nose, cough or difficulty breathing) or who has been in contact with anyone who is under observation or self-quarantining will not be permitted to board the train.
